Broken Pipe causes ceiling collapse

A water supply line broke in the bathroom above this basement. The drop ceiling collapsed and wet insulation fell down onto the treadmill. Water also ran along the floors and wicked up the insulation inside the sheetrock walls. SERVPRO of Edison arrived shortly after the initial water damage to assess the situation and begin remediation. Our highly trained technicians removed the damaged ceiling tiles, wet insulation and the effected sheetrock. After cleaning the floors, we placed a Low Grain Refrigerant Dehumidifier and several Air Movers to complete the drying and restoration process. Even though the equipment is designed to run safely on its own, SERVPRO of Edison sends technicians to monitor and ensure that the drying process is proceeding as planned. This basement was ready for rebuild within three days of our arrival.
